Today was the first of many more days of hard work. Myself and a friend began to strip down the car in preparation for the first modification, the HDI front mount intercooler.

All of the intake, standard intercooler and air con system have been removed so far

Today was a good day for progress

Shorter alternator belt fitted and the car now runs again :D

New Kenwood stereo fitted and working. Wiring was a bit if a mess behind the old jap double din stereo

Posted Image

Rather than mess about cutting and joining wires etc I purchased a simple plug & play loom from eBay. Much neater

Also fitted the new pillar pod and two gauges. Boost and oil temperature

Still got some tidying up to do under the bonnet but this will be done while the car is garaged over winter Within the first 24 hours of the car being on the road I under sealed the car at my work. I have since put another coat on last weekend but I could not believe how clean the car was underneath. Hopefully I can keep her that way!

Well its been a while since I last updated this thread. Few changes have been made and still got a lot more planned :D

The car drives ok just now but suffers from the common and dreaded boost creep and hits boost cut regularly due to this. Something needed to be done :p

With some of the plans that I have, the car will require a remap. Managed to secure a Greddy Emanage for a good price

Also managed to cut a deal with a friend on an upgraded turbo, exhaust & tial external wastgate

Finally got some time yesterday to set about removing the old turbo & manifold setup. Was surprisingly easy considering that I am not a mechanic by trade. Only issue that I came across was that I had to split the turbo off the manifold to get to the lower manifold nuts

Posted Image

New setup was already to fit as it was removed from a Glanza. New manifold gasket fitted and braded coolant lines fitted

Almost good to go but just need to get my hands on a new pipe for the air filter relocation as the CT12 is obviously larger. Also need a new oil return pipe as the old CT9 one is too short. Also need a smaller radiator as the hot pipe sits hard against the standard radiator

Been very much trial and error with this car and I have loved every minute of working on it so far and looking forward to getting it running with the new turbo setup very soon!

Been a while since I updated this thread. Quite a bit has changed since the last update

Purchased a Greddy Profec boost controller so that I could safely control the boost for and after the mapping

Also purchased some new blue silicone hoses to fit to the new radiator

Radiator was a complete sod! Fitted perfectly apart from the bottom radiator hose fouling against the screamer pipe :unknw:

Decided to take the radiator back out and send it to a local welder to have the bottom outlet cut and moved over approx 4" to allow clearance of the screamer. Got the radiator back less that 48 hours before my 4 hour journey down to Tuning Developments for my E-manage mapping session

Thankfully the radiator was perfect. Re-fitted, filled and bled before taking the car for a short run to double check for any leaks. All was good
