I have an ep91 n/a and Temperature gauge is reading too high, car isn't actually overheating but the gauge says it is, the thermostat is opening, however the cooling fan isn't cutting in? Its also idling high, between 1600-1800rpm is this related?

I've brought an ep91 1.3 sr and already seem to be having problems. Temperature gauge is reading too high, car isn't actually overheating but the gauge says it is, the thermostat is opening, however the cooling fan isn't cutting in. Its also idling high, between 1600-1800rpm? If anyone could give me any ideas as to what is causing this please let me know ASAP. Many thanks

I know I called Toyota today and for one temp sensor it's was like £95. My car is doing some strange things and I hope that the genuine sensors will solve my problem

I'm looking for genuine temp sensor and cooling fan switch as I have brought them from eBay and they are no good. I have an ep91, if anybody could help that would be great. The eBay ones didn't seem to fix my problem unfortunately. Many thanks.
