  1. its like pin 21 out the ecu but check a pinout diagram, green wire, will be Labeled as NE, part of the iia (integrated ignition circuit). Theres a coil under the bonnet somewhere so you could go off that but the ecu is just behind the glovebox in ep91. I don't know about the other cluster but to do a normal tach its a switched live (like from the stereo for example), a ground, and the wire to the coil or rpm pulse. Then a live for the light (like off the back of the stock cluster) and another ground for that. and thats in most cars with any kind of distributor. hope that helps
  2. Sorry to butt in but would like to re ignite this thread, have been thinking of running carbs instead of spending money on expensive Ecu's. Was thinking to try mate that Corolla 4 branch with a 44 mm su carb, using a different fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator but would like ideas of what to do about ignition timing, would a distributor from a 3e engine fit on to 4e. It is possible as the grass track guys do it with k11s using k10 distributor (which I might also have a look at) anyway any ideas would be appreciated if I get round to it I'll post it up. Peace.
