  2. STARLETS HAVE A TENDENCY TO IDLE A LOWER IN HOTTER CLIMATES, I DONT KNOW WHY ITS ODD, I THINK ITS because NORMALLY IN JAPAN THE AC WOULD BE ON, AND THE ECU WOULD BE UPPING THE IDLE FOR THAT SO WOULDNT NOTICE. IMO THE IDLE SHOULD BE SET TO ABOUT 1K RPM, I FOUND THIS IS WHERE THE ENGINE ALWAYS IDLED SMOOTHEST, AND STOPS IT FROM POTENTIALLY STALLING, IN THE SUMMER WITH THE IDLE SET AT 1K, IT WILL DROP TO BETWEEN 7-800 RPM, THIS IS FINE, AGAIN THIS IS ALL FROM EXPERIENCE, I DONT THINK ITS ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, OR START REPLACING ALL SORTS OF SENSORS OVER.
  3. can you supply a 255 mm kit, with 25mm thick discs??
  4. yeah prob not, it was a few years ago i had it, was before you were a member of tgtt (been a member for 5 years now thats quite laggy lol, bet its great when it eventually hits it though, i get the arse ache with the td04 not coming on till 3.5k
  5. awsome dude, makes me miss my old white gt best gt in the world that was and was a minter to i should have got it fixed when u getting full boost by?
  6. speak to redline tuning in basildon, or speak to fc tuner he knows of a fair few people that are good to build engines in the south east. or at a push speak to sumo power imo dont be afraid to travel for decent service.
  7. for 1.4bar on stock internals go for the athena 1.9mm gasket, this should lower your compression to a nice limit. if going forged go for a 1.2 mm gasket, keeps response a bit better and compression is still quite low, wossner piston and 1.2mm gasket gives a cr of 7.84:1 which is quite low.
  8. lol, thats the funniest thing i've ever read lol, now theres gonna be more 1.1 saxo drivers thinking they got 1 million bhp lol ha ha ha ha h my fave qoute is "Plug your iPhone into your car stereo and trick everyone you drive past into thinking you have a high-powered GReddy-tuned ride"
  9. depends on how early you ahve caught the problem. you might be able to get some std size shells and whack them in there, but imo seeing as the engine probably got to come out any way, might aswell do a strip down and freshen up
  10. speak to sacha (wepr) on toyotagtturbo.com, he can supply you a custom turbo charger kit called godzilla, krissyb has one on his car built to his own requirements, and he is making masses of power with still loads of headroom for more boost still
  11. dude i know how u feel, i felt exactly the same, and in fact i still do. i had no end of problems with my gt, from the simplest of mods to the hardest. i wanted to give up long ago, but i had to keep pushing myself, i know i wouldnt have been happy if i didnt finish it. so i got it finished and my god it was tough, just had no motivation at all, and even when it was finoished you know what, i still wish i hadnt of bothered lol for the past year i been wanting to get rid of the gt, evryone kept convincing me to keep it, and so i did, i've had fun in it, but now it's definately time to move
  12. never realised i not updated this for some time, engine bay looks a bit different now, and i added a race ported cylinder head custom built by mike lowman race engines. and some arp headbolts while the head was off, also changed rocker cover and leads, and the car when to abbey motorsport to get tuned and made 240bhp @ wheels, i still not happy with the tune from abbey, so soon i will be going to see steve@fc tuner soon hopefully
  13. at work yeah, what number pistons do you need? some toyota dealers are tossers when it comes to imports, i'm lucky i spend a lot of money with my local one and i do themdeals so it's all good for me
  14. nout to worry about, only time i would worry about it, is when it sounds like an old rattle box fiesta 1.1 rattlin it's tits off when hot and cold.
