  1. nah not a member yet,but my brother is,if its that much of a pig to do i might let someone else fit it heres a pic
  2. very nice sanchez, ive also just bought an s2000(so much to buying a sensible car) as the misses persuaded me. ive never owned a car with so many tuning options, and then theres the prices but because the misses loves it that much, she said i can get what ever i want for it forced induction here i come are you fitting the clutch?what sort of a job is it?
  3. Glad to hear you haven't given up on it,what turbo are you gonna be using? I took mine out the other day after doing a hydraulic clutch conversion, and I can honestly say 5e + tdo4 is a good combo.
  4. My auntie worked on cruise ships as a beautician, and she hated it,also it was a agreed contract(don't really know the details)but she ended up haveing to work 5 years on the ships.I know she spent alot of the time going to calafornia, but she said she hardly had any time to enjoy herself as it was long hours, the only thing I do know is she managed to save enough money to pay a 60% deposit for a house( that was her goal ) she's now teaching in a college and never looked back Oh yeah she did a faceial on rod Stewart while on the ships, and said he has a face like a prune lol
  5. my brother felt the same with his glanza,so he sold it and bought an mg zr as a runaround.that lasted 6 months then he realised he wanted another fast car so bought an mr2turbo,4 months later the engine went bang in a big way.so he bought a 1.2 clio as a run around and swore he would never get into fast cars again so now he has an s2000,which he said he would never chuck money at.but it was only last night i caught him e-mailing someone about a supercharger kit ;) i think once you have been there its hard to get out of it.
  6. very nice,my dad also has a noble.its the m12 gto 3r,and its running 470bhp (x2 t28 vnt turbos, modified manifolds,ap clutch, pro alloy double capacity intercooler, etc)and to say its quick is an understatement.but the most impressive thing about the car is,there is hardly any turbo lag(put your foot down in 5th at low rpm and it just goes) also i have never driven a car where the steering is so positive you will love it
  7. i was pretty lucky,my lass loved cars infact when i had a race, she used to winge about me slowing down 11 years on and things are different.she hates going fast now(must be an age thing) the best to do when you split from your lass is join plenty of fish.com,lol im not jokeing either.my bro joined after splitting up with his lass and he meets 3 birds a week (sex wiv no strings attacthed) never seen the lad so happy
  8. to be fair it's trap speeds that only interest me to,as it can tell you how much bhp a car has and ultimately which is the quicker car once on the move. My 5efte r5 is getting mapped a week on Friday so hopefully I can get to the first rwyb at York dragway and see what it does
  9. It was done at rtoc national day.infront of eveyone from the club,so I'm guessing it's accurate,so your aiming for sub 11.5 on road tyres??good luck if you are
  10. i would of thought if a 5 gt turbo can do an 11sec run @ 111mph then a starlet should be capable of doing it???? http://www.rtoc.org/cgi-bin/leader_board.c...mp;tyres=slicks
  11. thats exactly what his golf was like on the corners
  12. really need some help guys,i seem to be missing a gearbox mount bolt its one of the two that bolt the bracket to the front of the gearbox.does anyone have a spare one lyeing around or even know the size steve
  13. My mate had a 150bhp 20vt golf and it was slow so he got it chipped and it went to 180bhp and it was still slow.there a big heavy car that need a lot of power to be quick, good engine though
  14. Haha that was the worst pain I have ever experianced in my life(and I have broken bones before) couldn't see for 15min oh well ya live and learn(should have had safety gigs on lol)
