hopalong_neil Posted July 1, 2016 Share Posted July 1, 2016 Is there an engine stamp somewhere on the block that confirms engine code?Was looking through the motor history of my gt and over a couple of years there is a note to say a letter was produced stating the engine was a 4afe from 1989 which changed the emissions limits.It's clearly got a turbo but didn't know if this was a conversion that could be done, another engine swap or a previous owner trying it on.Cheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites
jimmymac101 Posted July 1, 2016 Share Posted July 1, 2016 its normally stamped on the block to the right. from the top look down the right of the engine where the head meets the block, it should be stepped out slightly with the engine code stamped in.
