Calum122
Does anyone know how you would go about splitting the alternator in half? Also what would be the best way to remove the pulley wheel at the end? Thanks
Bug679
I'd say there's a few screws or bolts holding it together and use bearing pullers for the pulley after you take the nut off. Wouldn't be a big job man

lukEp
it's not easy you have to undo the nut that holds the pully on and press the rotor out with the back casting. best taking it to a recon place. take it the slip rings or bearings are worn and need replacing? Calum122
Nah, the engine leaked oil all over it and I just wanted to dismantle it and clean it all up. I also just wanted to have a nosey inside. Cheers though luke. Wondering why its a bit solid.
