Neal2715
I have a ep91 n/a I stuck a galanza s intake mani in and now it revs like mad ? All pipes are connected the same way I took them off? New to doing cars up 😊 always had bikes does it have a idle screw?
jordan walker
On the top of the throttle body there should be a little black plastic cap (if it's still there) underneath that is the idle screw.Other than that I'd try having a look at your throttle cable (if you haven't already) with changing the mani you may have it too tight. Neal2715
Thanks for the reply it's got no plastic cap on top? Will it be because of too much air ? Also something strange appeared my temp needle has no gone way off the scale and is on the opposite side of where it's supposed to be lol (doesn't move)

Starlet__SR
Is the throttle cable taught at idle? Is there a vacuum leak somewhere?
MR-2
Do You have VSV in the end of intake chamber (turbo) or in the throhtle body (n/a)? You should be able adjust tb linkage also if cable adjust won't help...
Neal2715
Is the throttle cable taught at idle? Is there a vacuum leak somewhere? I took the cable off the tb to eliminate it from the problem

MR-2
Yeah it has the plastic unit at the opposite end of the intake manifoldThis VSV is easier to try clean with some solvent, brake cleaner etc, try that before anything. Or take it away and block hole, no more high idle
Neal2715
Brilliant will try that at the weekend
