dwd
Guys, Ive had a problem for a while with my JDM 4EFE n/a starlet. Its bogs down on low RPM but then revs cleanly once it gets up the revs. Its got progressively worse and now is very bad. Once its hits about 4000 rpm it goes like stink but below that its dead. And a new problem started yesterday, on a very long fast corner is dies completely for a few seconds and then goes again. Seems like fuel starvation. Any suggestions? Could it be the throttle position sensor?
MR-2
TPS for bogging and fuelpump for cornering. How much fuel do You had that time when going fast, maybe pump taking some air?
dwd
If the TPS calibration is out would it cause this or does that just affect idle? There was about a quarter of a tank in it. Might just have been fuel swashing away from pump. Not too worried about that, just thought it might be connected.
MR-2
What kind of TPS do You have in JDM Starlet, picture? I have seen two type of TPS, Euro n/a E10 Corolla, GT and Glanxa have old style boxy TPS. Euro n/a Starlet, Paseo and E11 Corolla have round style TPS in E-series TB's
MR-2
Here is two different type TPS what I know, maybe there is more, who knows. Older TPs have only three position, idle, part gas and full throtle, easy to adjust. Newer one is variable and ecu gets more info from sensor. Other main values comes from oxygen sensor exept full throtle and MAP sensor all the time.
dwd
I don't have a picture but I'm pretty sure its the round type
