jjullienn
Hello !I post here on the behalf of a friend. When we drive his ep81 starlet, some engine coolant is going to the expansion tank (approx 5 cm more in the expansion tank). During driving the coolant stays warm (the jauge stays in the middle position). Is it possible that it is due to a faulty radiator cap ?Thanks !
akyakapotter
Some coolant may be pushed into the expansion tank it will suck it back into the system when it needs it. I wouldnt worry about it.
starletezy
Wouldnt worry about it unless the expansion tank is over flowing or bubbling its normal for the water to sit halfway or abit over
Starlet__SR
It's doing what its designed to do, expelling excess coolant due to thermal expansion. If it's boiling the fluid thats when you have issues.
