rippon91
I'm tired of having poor hand brake efficiency and one brake working better than the other, is there one out there? Or na?
glanzadude
did you rebuild the calipers?

rippon91
did you rebuild the calipers? no I haven't I went to but it feels like the handbrake mech is broken as it clicks and then goes free when it's worked New ones cost a fortune and I think I need a new piston, it doesn't work at all not even on the foot pedal
aleximport25
The rebuild is pretty simple tbh dude can be a lil fiddly removing the circlip at the bottom of the cylinder. New calipers from Toyota are around 200 each and a descent rebuild kit is around 25-30 plus elbow grease and you may as well paint them while they are off haha

aleximport25
I got this kit from ebay 291134897029But there's a really helpful company called biggred I would give them a message either through ebay or directly calipers@biggred.co.uk

But i got it sorted out. There is a washer inside that is supposed to hold a spring on one side of the mechanisem but i think due to again or worn pads it could have slipped top the other side of the spring. You just have to take out the piston and you find it with the auto adjust mechanisem.
