Who Jacked my Car Up From the Floor Pan?

Recommended Posts

As said, it's been like that for years. I don't drive the car so it shouldn't get much worse.

It's not something I can do myself, but my dad doesn't think it'll be a problem.

Just out of interest Colin what do you think the best approach to fix it is?

It's all concaved in where the Jack has pushed up onto it.

Would it be best to cut out the rot and the damage and weld a new piece in?

Mk2 fiestas I hear.

I am not handy with a welder so I am going to have to ask my dad see if he can tackle it.

It is literally one after another with this car!

If you can't find anyone to weld can recommend the people who did my charade

Yeah cheers Ollie.

The car doesn't actually move, so I have no choice but to do it myself. I will buy a welder if it comes to it lmao!

But I will hit you up. Worse case scenario I get it towed there!

Picked mine up and dropped it off free

Well my Dad's had a look at it and he's not bothered.

He is sure he can fix it no worries.

He is the botched repair, someone tried to hide it with filler as well...cheers.

He isn't too bothered about the sills either, he's sure he'll be able to patch it up and repair it, he's confident that the rest of the sills okay.

Yes very much so.

He is fabricating his own sill to replace the rotten sill.

With a bit of luck it's going to look very OEM.

The other side however may not, massive dent in the sill. No idea how someones done that. Might be able to bash it out, but it won't look 100%
