t'mill, yes I know what you mean. Hard to find a nice little turbo hot hatch these days. Especially the shit hot ones from the 80s and 90s. They're starting to fetch good money nowadays because modern day cars are boring as f***.

Yes Mart1, I'm gonna throw some money at the handling. I'd rather not put mine and other peoples lives at risk when I'm trying to enjoy my car! I'd like to lower it (sensible height), invest in anti roll bars, caster kit, powerflex bushes and would like a good coilover set up. I'm not 100% sure but I think I have TRD coilovers on it atm but failed it's MOT because one of the rear ones was leaking. Wondering if theres any way I could recondition them :/

Considering it has TRD suspension, and a TRD badge on the dash, would this indicate that this is a TRD tuned version? Or merely a novelty badge some Japanese geezer put on back in the day? :p

i will when I get a chance pal, I've paid for the car and got the paperwork but haven't been able to bring it back to mine yet as my parents don't know. They will be super angry as I've already got two cars so planning to take it a friend to get MOT and tidy up the scrapes then bring it home. And hopefully have the Audi shifted by then haha. :p

haha mart1, yes mate, wanna avoid that at all costs lol.

Matt1986, that's a beautiful car fella, you've done a good job there, looks great! Talk about inspiration ey.. I plan to get mine looking as clean as yours. Any pics under the hood and more of the back end?

Can you give me some more info on the second rear lower spoiler? I like that alot, want one for mine!

As Mart1 mentioned, headrests look good too. Are they a straight fit from a suzuki?

Thanks Shyam! Its all about the inspiration!!

Yes will pop a few more photos up, the rear lower spoiler came on this car, as far as I know they are handy enough to find, they go by the name 'ducktail spoiler' and cost roughly around 80-120 depending on condition etc..

The headrest idea just popped into my head because I wanted a full Recaro fishnet interior but couldn't find one, so I got creative and made my own!

The suzuki headrests fit straight in (with a tiny bit of spray oil).

I love it mate, definitely on my wish list along with those rear lights. ahhh, i can already tell I have so much to do to get my Glanza where I want it now haha, The standard body kit is tasteful enough as you've demonstrated with yours, doesn't really need any extras.,, :)

Nice clean bay too. I've seen loads move the intercooler to the bottom which does make the bay look cleaner and easier to work on but I think a top mounted inter-cooler looks awesome! Nice to see you've left your hi./ lo boost functional. I think I'm going to plug mine back in too until I give it a service and sort the handling out haha :p

Matt1986, Ive just noticed you've mounted your turbo at the top, great stuff! Are you also running a custom manifold? I've heard the manifold on Glanzas are a weak point.,,, Anyways would love to hear more about your turbo set up. Thanks!

Random thought... just wondering if there's anyway of making the auto box stronger for more power...hmm

Matt's turbo is in it's normal place mate, what your looking at is a rather large looking dump valve, also has the standard cat fitted.

Cat removed and a decent manifold is the first mod to do if you want a bit more out of the car.

The auto box there's nothing you can do to it unless you take it out and go manual.

Sounds like you have got a right big shopping list there of things to do, be careful mate these cars can soon eat your money up haha.

Thanks, yeah I agree the standard bodykit is tasteful, I just need the rear oem lip for the bumper and it's complete! For some odd reason they don't seem to add that part on a lot of Glanza's!

That is my idea with this car, any mods must be either tasteful or subtle.

Same with the Blow off valve, I got it especially from Japan because it comes with the dedicated intercooler pipe it's attached to, just keeps everything neat and tidy. I actually changed the BOV from an Apexi to a Greddy type S, sounds better and still looks neat.

I don't like the front mount intercoolers, but I would like to get an arc top mount to keep things cool! Very rare part now though!!

Mart, the wheels are Wedsport's Tc05's, I love them! I'd like to find a 5th one as spare! I can dream ha!

I went with them so I could get good quality chunky tyres to keep things a bit more comfortable, the cusco coilovers are hard work at times!

Here you go, uno turbo

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352031199608

Ooooooh nooooo! :( I remember the Hormann kitted efforts back in the day. Oh dear, they haven't aged well!!

For me it's a stock looking Mk1 that floats me boat. Preferabley in the turquoise/blue colour :)

Unfortunately UnoTurbos have nearly disappeared with price tags to match for reasonable Mk1 survivors. Last 2 I've seen were both up at £9,000, which is ridiculous amount for a car that was considered crap back then haha

I know what you mean pal. If I'd have kept my XR2, Scirocco, Nova SRs, Mk2 GTI, Mk1 Astra GTE, Uno Turbo, etc, I'd be a rich man! Lucky I did have the foresight to keep my S1 Escort RS Turbo though which has appreciated nicely.

Have to echo your comment on new cars not being as interesting to drive as the older stuff. We have a new Focus 1.5DCi eco-boost at work, and despite it being noticeably faster than my Starlet NA, I'd still prefer to drive the Starlet. It's just more fun and engaging

Ah right, thanks for the info Mart1. You sound like you know these cars inside out haha. So what did you do to yours when you had it?

Matt1986, I think you've got it spot on mate, looks great ! I didn't realise there was an addition OEM rear bumper lip...

t'mill, like that kit on the Uno from the sides but doesn't look so good from front and back. Yeah and I agree with your comment with new/old cars. Haha I'm jealous that you got to drive all those cars mate, by the time I was old enough to drive, they were already all too expensive for me. You'd have been very rich indeed!
