Strange request for all you N/A chaps.

I've recently fitted a standalone rev counter to my 1997 Sportif, and wondered if the posh N/A drivers out there with standard fitment rev counters (a la CD, GLS, SR) could tell me where your revs sit at 80mph in 5th gear, and where your revs sit at 3000 revs in 5th gear.

Also, how 'lively' is your rev counter? The needle on my gauge seems a bit 'slow' and doesn't exactly race round the gauge if you know what I mean. If I wind the car out the needle doesn't seem to make much progress from 4000 revs.

Standard n/a dies out around 4K revs I found, corolla mani def helps them to pull stronger to the redline

A rolla mani was defo on my 'would probably do' list, but from what you say it's now on my definitely to do list.

It's weird how they seem to hit a wall at 4k. I know they're only a small engine, but 16v's I've had in the past (granted bigger engines) always started to pick their feet up at 4k. Looks like the hunt for a rolla mani is on

Can anyone confirm what mph they're at at 3000 revs?

Also had an NA box in my glanza, shorter gears for sure, but revs were just fine.

Were you at around 4k at 80mph too?
