Fake Sard Fuel Pressure Regulators

Has anyone used one of the fake Sard fpr's? There on eBay for about £25. I know it's best to buy a real one but has anyone had any experience with a fake one? I took apart a fpr one before and all that was inside was a rubber diaphragm so guess it can't be hard to make a good fake

Buy a branded one, rather than a cheap copy. Doesn't have to be SARD.

You'll wish you spent the extra £50 when the crappy Chinese thing fails and costs you an engine.

I think I seen someone mention that a genuine sard fpr can be got from RHD Japan for around £65 delivered.

I got mis sold a fake fpr and it wouldnt drop below 4bar.

I then bought a sard and have never fitted it.

The standard fpr is good enough for most use tbf.

i use a genuine sard fpr kit and fittings from rhdjapan...got it years ago, i'd guess 10 years ago

i've never had an issue with it to date...so i'd suggest IF you do get one, to get a proper brand..its not something that you want to go bang as that could spell costly damage

the alternative case, as daniel g said, stick with the stock fpr, they work quite well and if you have the proper management, correct size injectors, etc...then you will be fine

whatever you do, avoid fake fpr and other such fake items in general

I used to have an aeromotive fpr on my 1st GT, good bit of kit.

As others have said: if you want a Sard which is fair enough buy what you want I know I do, but don't buy a copy. You end up with a whole world of hurt.
