RockyJRT
Reposted to here as this seems to be the correct sub forum. I own a 1998 Toyota Stalet SR, whenever I start it up on a cold engine the car almost chokes and struggles to get above 500 rpm, shaking the car and sometimes cutting out. If I rev the car gently and hold it at 1000 rpm it seems to go away (I know this is not right as I should let all the fluids flow round but it is the only way it seems) and then I can start driving. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction with what could be wrong? I have searched the internet and cannot seem to find anything.
Shyam
Sounds like your idle control valve mate. Give it a clean (y)
