hi. a 1998 sportif automatic - failed MOT on 'Service' brake weakness. (also rear brakes ineffective) anyone think of likely culprit on that? a nut need tightening p'raps? :) I rarely use the parking break becos its an automatic, but it may be getting rusty under there

Theres 2 adjusters, 1 on the handbrake and one on each of the drums. they can be done by jacking the car up and getting in behind the drum, theres a small oval cover that pops off then you can turn a gear with a screwdriver to wind them out some more.

You may need new brake shoes if its not been done it a while
