Power washing the engine & bay?

Recommended Posts

Lads my engine & bay could do with a good clean is it safe to power wash it are just leave it be till sometime i have to remove the engine?

Cover up the distributor, coilpack and igniter, fusebox and wash to your hearts content. Just use low pressure and always keep moving as not to drive water into places. Make sure no water gets past your spark plug seals aswell

Buy cheap multi-surface cleaner from your local discount shop for 99p a litre. Spray on and scrub off with some water. If it is good enough for your kitchen then your engine will be fine.

Also works on wheels too.

Unless you want to spend a fortune and brag to your mates about how much you spent on cleaning your engine :D
