Rotating td04 method?

Recommended Posts

Have seen 2 different ways 1 being completely separating the core and the other being just rotating the compressor housing (looks a lot easier if u have the pliers) but will the oil return and water etc be in the right place? Think this method may just be for other cars? Cheers

Its mega easy mate, get your self some circlip pliers, get the circlip off, then you will need to file/dremel down a small metal pin in the compressor housing you cant miss it, then you can rotate it freely, if your turbo has only just come off a subaru you will also need to remove the exhaust housing and rotate the centre cartridge to make sure the oil return is facing the floor. and put it all back together!
