If i list the issue below could some of you starlet boffins try to give me an internet diagnosis? 1. the car judders really badly if i pull away without giving it some high revs. i mean like a standard below 3k rpm gentle pull away from a standing start. Literally feels like the engines gonna come loose lol. 2. the car makes a knock when boosting hard in 2nd gear and letting off suddenly. 3. car also regularly makes a knocking sound when pulling away slowly although my old td04 glanza also did this. The car needs some new wheel bearings anyway, but I was thinking of also getting polybushed mounts and new cv joints in the hope this will cure everything. But could problem 1 be the clutch being nakkered in some way? once car is moving its absolutely fine and no slippage at all. shaq Posted October 3, 2017 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Check your clutch bolts loose or missing and cracked mounts,sometimes the mounts okay can be a crack on where mounts bolt onto engine is cracked,I've cracked it and fixed twice taken to engineer,could be extra meat on new clutch or un evenly torqued bolts between gbox engine or even clutch plates,release bearing!l Quote Link to post Share on other sites
