Starlet flooding and won't start

Recommended Posts

My ep70 conversion was running perfectly on Saturday did a 700km round trip without any hiccups , now when I try start it it won't start , if I crank it over for a few seconds and unplug injectors it'll start and then when I plug injectors back in it'll run fine, it just doesn't want to start , plugs are soaked when I take them out

Tried a different coolant temp sensor and didn't adjust timing this few weeks when it was running perfect

Anyone any ideas?

Has the coolant temp sensor earth been wired to the load grounds rather than the sensor grounds by any chance? Its a common mistake people make when wiring them up. There are two seperate earth circuits, one for sensors/triggers and the other for load devices.

Also what was the fuel usage like on the road trip? Have you had a wideband on it to see what the afrs are like? Whats the base timing set at?

I'll double check that actually I'm not too sure on that one...fuelling was 100% put in 55 and did 700km so around 35-40 mpg

No havnt had. Wideband on, will take it to an exhaust centre for an emissions check and see if they can show afr results aswel , base timing is 10 degrees btdc
