richglanzav
hi guys ive fucked up buying powerflex mounts as my old stock ones were screwed. phoned up toyota as i cant find any rubber ones anywhere (TRD or ideally OEM stock). nearly shat myself when he came back with the price for the set of 3 (engine + front and rear gearbox) anyone know any way of getting cheaper OEM bits? long shot i know as these cars are becoming old grannies now. maddox710
You could always make your own with own polyurethane mix.
morgey
Try amayama.com youll need the part numbers and need to add import tax which i think is 20% of shipped cost and a handling fee £15ish to the final cost.

daniel_g
I got some of that stuff off ebay to make your own poly bushes. More hassle than its worth and its fuckin stinking. Its like a 2 part resin. Ebay 65 shore poly. The red JD tuning mounts are fine for a daily. If you can still get a hold of them.
richglanzav
honestly mate i hate it ive basically ruined my car through not properly researching the product im buying. dont get me wrong something needed doing as the rear mount had completely failed and the other two were badly worn. but now these mounts combined with the fact the clutch has a bad issue with juddering when pulling away, my car literally vibrates like a guitar string. with skillful manipulation of the accelerator pedal and a lightweight flywheel im sure i could make it play its own song. Ollieh17
Light fly will likely make it worse. I've made my own mounts on a different car. Pretty straight forward
SKINY
Toyota prices are mad, I paid 55£ for a dizzy cap and king lead not long ago.I also got a full set of engine and box polymounts with the car and I'm getting rear axle ones today
morgey
I had to get custom poly mounts made for my 4age ones, £60 each wasnt fun and now the dash board is like a dog on heat when the idle drops lol
pockrockgtti
If you would order them from amayama.com they would be £160ish + shipping+ import duty, which would still be cheaper than the £370+vat you were quoted by the main stealers.Failing that you could always drill relief holes in those powerflex bushes, just to soften em up. But that was because everything had been apart and banged back together with a mix of screws. Apart from that didn't think they were that bad. But then I'd never choose to daily a starlet ever again
