My mates Evo was horrendous, 5k at 70 no word of a lie.

And it was meant to be a GSR, not the short ratio RS. It was an import and clearly was sticker bombed in Japan. We suspect the final drive may have been swapped out.

GT-Four's are going up. Would love an RC.

Stunning  Daihatsu Mira TRXX Avanzato R   for sale. Appreciate this is not solving your problem lol

Turbod Altezza. That would do the job beautifully.

Or potentially even a V8 swapped Altezza/IS200, it could be done within budget... It's got me thinking now.

GT4 is a bit of wild car really. Cant really bring myself to break away from smaller lighter cars. Altezza on track id imagine would be heavy on consumables, and with a v8 not that fast and nimble

They're lighter than GT4s, clever suspension setup, if you went for the V8 it's an alloy block.

Something like that would be my choice... But I've had 2 of them, I miss those. I don't miss my DC2.

not much shows it apart from a 500 is200 beater really. Do you track them?

I did, my turbod Altezza was only really built for track, Cusco C1 Coilovers, GREDDY turbo kit and gutted. I had an almost stock one at the same time.

It's a Beams engine, heads built by Yamaha, revs to almost 8k... An RS200 also comes from the factory with an LSD

If I was doing another run around Europe, honestly a DC2 would be near the bottom of my list. They're gutless unless you're kicking there heads in and ridiculously noisy on the motorway. I loved it on the right road/track don't get me wrong. But cruising down the motorway or just doing daily chores it was a pain in the ass. I preferred my Clio 182 to the DC2 tbh as a fun daily.

I'm saying this, I drove to Spain in an EP91 V and all the way around France...

surely the top choice would be an sw20 mr2! reliable if you give it a good service beforehand, not bad on fuel if you go for the n/a, mid engined comfy toyota goodness, would even be a top track car when you got back.

Bit of a curve ball and more comfort based than track but corolla or celica Tsport with a lsd box and longer 6th from an mr2. Can be had for sub 2k with them mods, usually with some suspension mods too. Will cruise quite happily at 80mph around 3.5k and return 35-40mpg and with a 1zz (140hp 1.8l) sump on there will take a beating on track.

Corolla Compressor now that would be cool with a few upgrades!

This quote function is killing me on the mobile... I can't delete them.

A DC2 sits at 4,500rpm at 70ish... At 100 you will be in VTEC. They're not great on a cruise, loud and the engine feels permanently strained mate.

My map on my dc2 allows me to come off throttle and cruise at 100 without vtec.
