Djaniero
Hi, I bought some new rear discs for my GT and made the school boy error of not ordering them with the bearings already installed. I'm heading to my motor factors in the morning to get the bearings, but is this something that I could do myself, or best off taking them to a garage with a press? Thanks
triple j
U won't need a press for them, the roller bearing will fall out and the outer casing just needs a tip out, just don't over tighten them.
Djaniero
I removed a bearing out at the front of the disc, when I removed the castle nut etc. But theres like a roller bearing thats at the back of the disc and that seems to be pressed in? Calum122
As said bud, the rear wheel bearings are just tapered roller bearings. They won't need pressing in. The fronts however are indeed pressed into the hub.
