Boost controller doest control the boost

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have installed a Manuel boost controller (Turbosmart Boost Tee) so I can set my boost to around 12psi. I have followed the instructions that came with the boost controller GBCV-Boost-Tee-Black.html.

The issue is that even when the boost controller is set to minimum the car starts going over 15psi. At the lowest setting it should be the minimum of the wasetage so where have I gone wrong.

The boost controller arrow is set to point towards the wastegate, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I know I have put it close to heat however, this is just temporary whilst I make sure it all works.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a leak mate, make sure all of the connections are good as any small leaks will allow the boost to rise

Nice one mate, I have read up that other people are having the same issue with that boost controller and the factory actuator. I will try connecting everything again otherwise will be going for a HKS actuator and electronic boost controller

Ah fair play man, I just assumed you could have adjusted these down to nothing. Is the car pretty much standard?

Let us know how you get on
