ToyotaFanKK Posted July 23, 2018 Share Posted July 23, 2018 My car has developed a rust hole on the inside of the A pillar, under the trim. it's solid behind it but there's a large hole in the top layer. My Dad is heavily into the VW scene owning his own pile of rust Type 2 Split screen (although it is mint now) He states that these cars are so loved that they would very rarely scrap a split screen barndoor van. To even go as far as to say they would not even scrap this. If you believe that, then no, your Starlet isn't done for. It just might not be economically feasible to salvage it.
