Spongy feeling after fitting ABS delete kit

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Has anyone who fitted a abs delete kit had a spongy break pedal after bleeding. No matter how many times I bleed my callers I can never seem to get them to feel right. The travel on the pedal is rather concerning aswell.

Anyone have any experience to share. I was thinking maby the master cylinder itself might be fubar or that the master cylinder need bleeding on its own.

Cheers.

I'm pretty sure the hard pipes are still available from toyota to remove the ABS. They were 4 years ago when I took mine off the glanza.

They aren’t anymore unfortunately.

Braided lines are fine anyway :) If it’s spongey there is air in the system still, or another issue. Master cylinder like you say, one of the lines fitted wrong etc.

People remove the original ABS because it does more harm than good Callum.

How so? You would have thought it being a Toyota it wouldn't have been so bad.

Try it and itll make sense, it just doesnt really work at all. The pedal just goes to the floor and not a lot happens lol.
