LozRogers
Hi everyone, I am about to install a Front mount intercooler and was also thinking of installing an aftermarket air intake system (pod filter) as it looks like I'll have to do this to make room for the long fmic pipe on the drivers side coming up past the battery to the throttle. Just need advice from you lads who have done this. See attached pic of my bay. What do I do with the " valve Assy air by pass?? Any advice to save me reinventing the wheel would be great Cheers Laurie Rogers 1998 Toyota Starlet Life transforming into a Glanza V L ve Assy, Air By-passValve Assy, Air By-pass?? akyakapotter
With the above kit all that lot that is circled will go and you'll need to get an air filter relocation kit or mesh the turbo like I did with my ct9. I have also run mesh my billet td04 since I purchased it. Cheers nick.

TrisK
The part you have circled is essential the stock recirculating valve (like a dump valve but goes back into the intake). Best thing for you to do is to connect it to the take off in the silver pipe to the far right of your pic. The other side an go to atmosphere. You will need to keep the small vacuum line that runs to the top of it, you can use any sort of silicone hose to replace this with a longer one
