Lucas
Hi, I’m in the process of forging my ep91 glanza. Its a stock motor running a tongs ct9 hybrid but I have a td04 hybrid on the cards for the future. What’s people’s opinions on uprating the valve springs as I am unsure on spending the extra £240, is it going to be worth it or not ? Lucas
Calum122
General consensus is, unless you're suffering from valve float, don't bother. The greater wear on cams and bottom end, make it an unreliable upgrade. Ultimately, your CT9 is running out of puff to utilise the benefit from uprated valve springs. Uprated does not mean better. Lucas
Thanks for the reply, in your opinion would it be worth doing for the td04 upgrade or still not bother due to creating more issues ? Kind regards
RobSR
Not required unless you’re going above stock rev limit. Which you won’t need to do on a TD04 anyway.
