BigBird
Hi all. I own a 1997 Starlet 1.3 4EFE with 100k on the clock. Recently the heater has stopped blowing on settings 1,2 and 3 but is OK on 4. The heat is fine coming out. I have had the fascia apart and the switch appears fine. I've checked for fuses or relays that may be the cause to no avail. So I'm guessing there's some electronics buried in the dashboard somewhere. If I'm right can I do anything without ripping the dashboard apart? Or is there something else I haven't thought of? Thanks. Martin
LeonL
I can’t vouch for starlets specifically but normally this issue on most cars is down to the heater resistor pack/card. Normally located under the dash
BigBird
Thanks. Kind of confirms what I've heard before. Is there a way of getting at it without removing Dashboard, i.e via glovebox. Edited March 15, 2019 by BigBird
