bare in mind the baffle plate is steel and the rocker cover is aluminum, as long as the baffle has been drilled out properly any competent welder can blob weld it back in for you, I don't like the idea of using screws/bolts as I worry the may start to loosen off after a while which can cause serious engine failure if they fall out

That's a good point.as above I started to drill and tap for holes to use fasteners like washer spring washer with some high strength stud loctite.i to worry about losing a screw but I hope it holds if not it's of to the welders.and rebuilders.

I appreciate your reply and advice.will update with pics once complete.
