Work was supposed to begin today, however when I took the cam cover off I found this...

All gunged up and oil ways blocked.

Took the water pump off and was greeted by this.

I contacted the person I bought this off and he is going to send me another engine, although I have to wait 3 weeks :(

The new engine that will become is out of a 95 Toyota Sera with 91,000 kms.

I have decided to update as I haven't in a long time. I have copied this from my build thread on another forum, so the timescales are out a bit.

Got the news 3 weeks ago that my engine would be back at the weekend, so I got the old engine pulled out ready for the rebuilt engine to go back in...

So got to the Friday and my Dad phoned the engine builder and they said it would be ready for another week, by this time I was starting to crack up so we went to see the progress that had been made. The engine hadn't been touched in the 2 months it had been there. So my Dad and I decided we would build it ourselves.
