Recommended Posts

truly stunning work buddy !!

i would love to see this in the flesh, but its a bloody long way to go :-(

Thank you! Hey if ever you find yourself in the Philippines for any reason, just hit me up and I'd gladly show the car to you :)

Absolutly stunning build mate, great inspiration for people to get stuck in and make there dream Toyota if they want to....... :D

Thank you man. Yeah I myself thought that I wouldn't be able to actually see this build completed after several setbacks. You really just need to be persistent.

What power did it make on the stockish setup with the emu??

I actually have a slightly different setup now than when I had it on the dyno. But anyway here is the previous dyno sheet numbers. These are all at the wheel figures – with the stock ct9 turbo at 1bar, ported stock exhaust manifold, manual boost controller (I misplaced my AVCR boost control unit and couldn't find it until a month later), stock TMIC, stock internals with ARP headbolts on 97 octane pump gas (Shell VPower Racing)

Baseline came in at 123.15 wheel horsepower and 128.95 foot-pounds at the wheels. I was able to get it mapped to produce 133.8 wheel horsepower and 157.62 foot-pounds of torque at the wheels.

Currently though I was able to source and install a Blitz K1-200v turbo and because it hasn't been mapped properly to this turbo I'm running slightly lower boost at .8 bar. I also finally found the AVCR boost controller and I have it installed and working. I'll have this mapped to the new turbo soon enough.

Any cooling issues with retaining the TMIC rather than going with a Front mount?

In this ten lap race we joined we did start to feel a bit of heat soak at about 7th/8th lap – but I really didn't design this to be a race car since I have a gt turbo dedicated for that purpose. Driving daily though I haven't noticed it much, maybe after an hour in standstill traffic during the day. Otherwise you wouldn't even notice that it was still on the stock TMIC.

Took the Glanza to another track day this weekend. Suspension still needs a bit of tuning (and better tires) and we still need to increase the boost up a bit. But otherwise it was fun, no dramas. Drove to the track ran the event and drove right back home.

I just actually had them made. It's your standard turbo decal for toyota suv's I think maybe from the landcruisers (which share the same lettering/font with our turbo emblem)

Great video and build man love your attention to detail ;)

Thanks man appreciate it :)
