sdutton007
The Origins: Banzai Feature: Many of you will remember Gaz's Blue EP85 which was featured in Banzai back in 2008: Up For Sale: Towards the end of 2011, Gaz stripped everything out of it, leaving it as a bare rolling shell and put it up for sale. I bought it in November 2011 for £2,800 with the roll-cage, a spare set of running gear, alloy fuel tank and a few other bits and pieces: Picking the beast up: Finally at home: Edited March 19, 2014 by sdutton007

sdutton007
Appearance: I want to do a few things to the car to customize it's looks to my tastes. The things I want to change include:Replace the hideous red bonnetLighter coloured wheels that really stand out (possibly Gold)Removing the stickers from the rear windowFit a modified Mk3 bootlidPainting the front calipers & rear drumsPossibly fit a Livesports spoilerBonnet Swap: The very first thing I had to do was remove that awful red bonnet and fit one that suits the car better: Next on my list was fitting some wheels that really make the car stand out. I have had a set of 15" Rota Slipstreams for about 5 years - the chrome was peeling quite badly on these, so I decided to get them sprayed: I also fitted my Rota GT3s to see what they look like on the car: Custom Boot-lid I modified a Mk3 boot-lid by removing the fake lights (and wiper & lock), making a fibreglass base and adding filler on top. This isn't yet finished - I just did a quick test spray to see how it would come out: Messing about with a Glanza Livesports Spoiler I thought it would be funny to chuck on a Livesports Spoiler from a Glanza. Here's the results: Edited March 19, 2014 by sdutton007
sdutton007
Interior Rear interior paintwork I decided to start spraying the inside rear of the car in the same colour as the paintwork (Mazda Winning Blue): Rear speakers In one of my old EP82s, I built a false floor with 2 amps (MTX for the subs and Fli for the speakers), double sub box with 2 Infinity 12" subs, and an angled shelf with 4 Infinity 6x9s and a power cap. To save space and more importantly weight, I decided to try fitting them in the rear quarter gaps... Attempt 1 First I decided to try making up a panel using wire mesh and fibreglass: Attempt 2 Then I had the bright idea of modifying the stock panel plastics to do the same job with far less time and effort: Edited March 19, 2014 by sdutton007
sdutton007
Performance Giant Intercooler I decided to see how well my ridiculously big intercooler would fit: GOLD Intercooler I decided to buy a gold intercooler that another member was selling - this should go nicely with the gold wheels: Edited March 19, 2014 by sdutton007

sdutton007
More Wheels On Wednesday, I went to pick up a set of Rota Grids since I wanted to change to 16" wheels. Can anybody tell that I like Rota wheels yet lol I'm thinking of painting the wheels gold (a shinier gold than last time) and the calipers/drums Blue... maybe.
