I've just had a look at the first pictures. You are aware that the seals on your boot leak, and the water isn't from the radiator or anything we/you put in there to take home.

If you leave the car out in the rain for any length of time it fills with water. Out of interest when did you take the picture?

I don't agree with what you are saying however like I said I don't want this thread to be an argument so we will just leave it at that and agree to disagree.

I still haven't received any messages from yourself as I stated in previous posts if you would like to post the items you have my address and when I receive them I will update this thread accordingly.

Jordan.

I'll call/text you when I'm at work.

right well I was going to leave it at that however your last comment in my opinion tells the whole story about your service

"some oil in the boot (that was stripped out and already scratched)"

what your basically saying there is that because you have a low opinion of my car it means that you have not given it the respect that it should have had.

also I obviously did not think to check make sure that the parts where there I expected them to be as you would from a reputable tuner. and if I had noticed that there was a puddle of brown sludge in the back of my car I would have mentioned it.

its not just the oil in the boot or the pricing its the whole service I have received. I have been spoke to like a chimp (when I was spoke to), my car has been treat like it was scrap, and the workmanship in my opinion did not match the price tag!

the car has now been sat on my drive for a month and there is now not one bit of water in the car not even condensation the car is now fully stripped inside (it had to be because of the state you left the car in) and I can assure you there isn't even any condensation so don't try and blame that on the seals in the boot

When collecting the car we had the boot open and went through the parts in it? It looks like rusty rain water in the boot from the pictures. Oil floats ontop of water, the 2 don't mix. It looks like your pliers are whats caused the rust, and the water looks to have been there a while.

Remember, when the car came to us, it had absolutely no coolant at all in it. So the rad was completely empty. It certainly wouldn't have put what looks like a litre of water in your boot?

Its fine jord you can mention me

For those of you that know me (darren watson) you will of saw pictures on my facebook.. the guy had 7k off me and the level of work was very poor

Very bad cocky attitude also

Also paid 700 for a ct9 hybrid that wasnt even touched. I got liam doyle to rebuild it. I managed to squeeze 250 out of ricky towards it threw a bank transfurr

Now as you know people wat pro tuner would put 250 into my bank if they didnt have too??

Luckily i had a fellow friend.. mickyboy to help me out. He also ia disgusted and ino he shared pics/posts on fb too with my car

I've currently got 3k miles on it now but loosing oil from the sump both crankshaft oil seals etc etc

Im getting the jobs done elsewere my car is never seing the place again.

True rip off merchant and a liar in my opinion.

Also the 2nd day of gettin the car back in started miss firing i had to send the car back on a flatbed at more costs of 150 which never got refunded..

I also lost days at work were i took holidaya to pick the car up and on the day i had a call of ricky saying it wasnt ready

Also missed out on 2 jap fests that i was told my car would be done for

This guy has proper had my eyes out and will never do it again!

The reviews i hear off honda owners is the same too! All over the forums apparently

workshop is disguating looks like a proper back street job and basically taking the prices away it is..

Feel free to add me on facebook.. read threw my posts and pictures and your eyes will see!

Im just sorry jordan i couldent advise you as my car had only been there 2 month and i thaught all was ok at that point

Well i for one will think long and hard about opening a proper tuning shop.

Lots to think about in this thread. Really dont think Ricky comes out of it all tooo bad he has a reasonable answer and account of all the issues.

only thing and im sure he would agree is you can never have the patience and personality required to keep everyone happy all the time.

Jordan on the other hand, has had a bad is experience, which is understandable.

he had a car/engine that was unhealthy.

he went down the 'upgrade' route and it was mega expensive to purchase the work and parts to get it there, so he backed out half way through.

naturally things arent going to be finished in the polished fashion racetech or anyone would want them to be.

Like i said the parts that i told ricky to leave is my own doing im not complaining about them i complaining about the worksman ship on the parts that have been done, the missing parts, the quality of service and the way that my car was treat

Darren had the same/ very similar experience to me as he said add him on facebook if our word isnt enough and you will se the quality of work which i have personaly seen first hand and is apauling (turbo oil leaks etc)

I am fully aware that some of the work he does is second to none i seen socks car when i was down there its amazing! Im just saying that some of it isnt i havent seen anyone else with a bad job apart from mine and darrens but im pretty sure there will be

I personaly dont think that ricky has reasonable excuses for the problems

Also it might just be water or it might be oil i dont know its clean now anyway but the car has been on the drive a month now and there is no water inside the car so whatever it is had been put in there also the seals that you mention in the comment that look broke are on the wheel well which would mean the water would leak out not in

I didnt want this to be a slagging match i just wanted to inform people a out my experience which is what i have done i dont think i have called him at any point or atleast i tryed not to

775 pounds to reseat valves an skim a head and block, a bit much is it not, a head end block skim should be standard with a forge build and not be extra on the price.

I paid alot less for skimming, decking, boring, head work, block x-ray and balancing.

I went to rickys place for the first time the other week. Everyone there was sound and rickys explained everything going on with my car. I knew most of the stuff he explained but he explained it all simply which I was not offended by as id sooner he do that than miss things out assuming my knowledge was extensive. I drove the car home and a week later I took my car back for an ecu and remap where it is sat at the minute. In fairness Im not having no where near the amount of work you have had done but so far no complaints. I pick the car up tomorrow so will report back. You're always going to get people who have a bad experience but thats just life and you cant keep everyone happy

Don't like to hear this especially when I have one of his hybrid billet wheeled tdo4 still to fit to my car.

I have to agree though I wasnt impressed with the service

Bought the turbo last year for going to the nurburgring. Took over 7 weeks to recieve the turbo when I was quoted 2 weeks. Every week was a different excuse.

I am still to fit the turbo as I've just not had the time yet just hope when I do get it fitted it will be fine and produce the power Ricky says it will.

My kit took 6-7 months lol and never came with the outlet port on the turbo I had asked for although to be fair I never bothered asking why it didn't come with what I had asked for. Also reminds me I better contact my card company and cancel the chargeback, forgot about that lol.

You could have had the previous version much earlier as I emailed. Its only because we upgraded you to what was probably the third gen. Sorry to hear you haven't fitted it yet. But don't worry, all our turbo's have a warranty. :)

How is the kit doing? What outlet port on the turbo?

We are working towards being able to stock all of our turbo kits etc. We have stock of a few kits now to reduce lead times. However custom kits take time to make up, and we are generally very busy.

Bullcrap this like you have every right to be pee'd off Jordan it's along time to wait and to have collected the car how it is is just not good enough for a professional tuning place. There is no room for a bad experience with this kind of time and money at stake every customer/car should be treated the same just seems like it was a squeezing money situation I'm not surprised you backed out.

@ricky

if you are working towards having all your kits in stock then why did you charge me £200 for making the kit and then me not needing it?

it was just a standard td04 kit which is I assume is what people ask for the most and i cant imagine there been many variants of the td04 kit and surely if you want to stock the kits anyway it shouldn't have been a problem that I didn't want it because as soon as someone wanted one it would be sent out to them the next day making life realy easy for everyone.

you are contradicting most of the things you are saying and then trying to cover it up with waffle.

Personally think it looks like dirty /rusty water , and like he said ^^ the boot lids are known to leak , don't agree with all this bitching fair enough yourself Jordan as you have a massive issue with him in your eyes , but for a lot of you your gob shites , and just trying to make Ricky look bad/ loose custom, and I garrentee most of you wouldn't have the balls to say all this to his face:P

Ricky's a good guy he's done a hell of a lot of work on my car no problems, so personally think this slagging match should stop and if you've got a problem speek to Ricky not everyone add it to this.

Good luck with getting your car back up and running :)

Who's this aimed at? People haven't been slagging him off, but just reviewing their experience with him?

Some people just don't have a clue Bussey this is not a slagging match it's a serious amount of cash and time just wasted, when I get the cash to forge my engine I'm out on the look for a trustworthy place to take my car Ricky probably is a good guy but it doesn't justify letting a car leave his workshop the way it has parts missing etc we can all see what work racetec can perform but if it's not consistant people will look else where unfortunately. I hope you's work something out.
