My fuel filter has been leaking abit I have ordered another one I have thin white smoke coming out the exhaust when warm and gets heavy slowing down from 70 to 30ish I expect it due to the fueling with ot running stock ecu my water coolant seems fine can't really think what else it can be other than condensation maybe trapped and over fuel...

Think my head gasket or stem seals have give up it smokes white when warmed up slowing down I have just had a new rebuilt turbo fitted so I hope it's not that smoke's an absolute ball ache as it could be anything it drives spot on though grrrr

Yes, gunna have to take it off I reckon and have a look almost giving up now :(

before taking it of do all the basic checks... its just been rebuilt so surely cant be that..

have you got a video? as if its only a thin layer be condensation..

going to say head gasket i think

tbh even if its not mapped it should be ok on stock ecu/map

mine ran perfect for ages on stock ecu and no map with the same mods you have on my GT

only smoked heavy when it blew up-turbo

Is the smoke defo white ? Then its water, turbo, condensation in exhaust or coolant in the combustion chamber.

Are the water & vacuum lines on correctly on the inlet ? Putting these on wrong will make it burn water and produce white smoke.

Id run it for a few miles to try and clear any condensation in the exhaust. Take water lines off the turbo. Do a sniff test for HG failure.

I'm going to take it all apart again the joys! I'm running all stock so it's not that I could even give it a good boost run been bound to 3000 revs, thanks for the input Ash it will get to TD one day lol

If it was turbo or stem seals would it not be gushing white smoke at a stand still I can literally drive a good mile boosting abit and the smoke won't be present till the cars well warmed up a little will come out from a stand still but most come's out when driving :-/

Depends on how bad it is but yeah, stem seals its blue smoke on first start up, turbo its normally blue smoke on over run or at idle, can get a bit whilst boosting aswell. PCV valve being fucked can give smoke off on boost aswell but again that would be blue smoke.

Id get someone to follow you and then tell you when exactly its smoking.

Check vacuum pipes a d water pipes are connected properly

any other signs that hg has gone.

does it pressurise ?

It all seems to drive spot on had a quick look at the pipe's before can't see anything wrong I hope it's something simple as I say it's smoking at it's worst braking from 70 to 60 then putting my foot down again around 4,000 revs it goes away then come's back
