It will be on the chassis number on the plaque under the bonnet..

Thing is were all the SR's plated up in order... Or did lots of UK starlets come off the production line and only so many fitted with SR parts....

Start posting up chassis numbers guys?

The problem youve got is the UK specs were built in japan then shipped over so the chances are you will have a complete mismatch of chassis numbers mixing in with jdm and uk spec cars.

The only people who might no is toyota uk who would have spec'd each car from a base model.

I've always assumed the SR was just any bog standard starlet ordered in 3 colours so once they landed from japan were modded in to an SR by toyota uk so no special build numbers or anything, probably totally wrong though ha

My dad has worked for toyota for 25 years. The info I got from him is that they arrive in the uk as normal starlets and then toyota add the parts afterwards. Same goes for the auris model, there's sr and tr models but they're just normal auris's that toyota put a bit of makeup on when they arrived in the uk. There's nothing specifically different. The only difference with starlet sr's is that the tte and speedline bits are discontinued. So there are no 'sr' specific build numbers.
