Have Rota GT3's and getting new tyres.

At the moment i have 195 45 R15 on them.

I get the 45 is the width?

Presume you can only run that not 195 50 R15?

how would you know the actual width they should have on them, is it on the alloy? sorry noob or what.

yeah get that man. Can you put 50's on?

What is the benefit of smaller and larger profile

Depends what you want out of the car really.

50 profile have a larger sidewall, more sidewall flex on cornering.

I prefer the look of 45 profile but prefer how 50's drive. 45's seem a lot harsher.

i run 195/50/15 because i think it sits nicer in the arch, like vturbo say tho, can catch the inner arch if hit a bump but its not often enough to bother me.. Depends on the tyre as well tho im quessing, some 50's might not have as strong tyre wall?

45's generally cost more. It's also worth noting that the 45 / 50 is a percentage of the sidewall figure :)

I run 45's on mine, nice and tight, hard set up on the coilovers too so handles great on track.
