right i'll try expalin this best i can if i put the car in gear isnt an issue bit stiff but does go in when i come to change say from first to second its like it dont wanna come out of first then it will pop out while im trying to get change gears the clutch was supposedly done a while back clutch is good and has a good biting point and isnt slipping or making any weird noises

another thing to ad sometimes if im coming to a rolling stop say approaching a speed bump i slow down with brake pedal about 5mph and i put my foot on the clutch to the floor for some weird reason it feels like the clutch isnt disengaged and the car is still wants to go ahead like it still barely biting the clutch plate and trying to move forward

am i right in thinking the clutch slave cylinder is at fault here and maybe the seals are going theres not wet patches or anything around it

other than that car drives perfect and changes gear fine i do know the gears boxes are very notchy like fell tight you can feel it selecting gears

anyone had a problem/fault like this

I think it's the input shaft. Currently having the same issue on mine. Clutch is now off and it looks fine, but there's corrosion on the input shaft. Gonna see what happens when it gets cleaned up.

hmmm not good news let me know what you find out

Mine was getting stuck in first and second, and was hard to get into third, turned out it was the release bearing that was supplied with the clutch kit....swapped it for a Toyota genuine one and its spot on now...

Also changed the slave cylinder before I did this and it was no help. It would release most of the time if I blipped the throttle though

  • 3 weeks later...

i been having exactly the same problems for weeks! checked the clutch line to see if there were in leaks but nothing then my slave cylinder looked old so i changed it. the problem was still there! changed the master cylinder still had the problem. yesterday decided to take my gear box out i had it checked by my mate together with the clutch and it turned out to be the clutch changed it today and it all good gears go in as butter! this all started happening when i changed my clutch 5 months ago. i bought a 6 paddle clutch from www.competitionclutch.com. i paid 350 pounds and i can say it wasn't worth it! the pressure plate looks like one from a normal clutch kit just with a lot more pressure. paid a ot of money for this clutch and really regret it!
