It is based around a Kid in Japan who gets introduced to the mountain street drifting/racing scene on Mount Akina (The actual name of this mountain pass is called Mount Haruna) in the early to mid 90's The seasons (stages) have not been consistent and with in the last few years they brought it back and continued the saga and it ended on stage 5.
