Hi all,

Here is a list i created when i was doing my n/a to 4efte swap. It will help all you guys that are planning to do your swaps in the near future. If there is any thing that needs adding please let me know . My personal most important thing was a decent set of tools. The last thing you want to happen is to have to get some to take you tool shopping halfway through because you haven't got something. Close second was telephone numbers. Helped me massively.

You will need:

Engine lift

A good trolley jack

Axle stands

Lots of cardboard to lie on or a car creeper

Engine Oil (if it hasn't already got it)

Gearbox oil

Coolant

A good set of tools

A 4EFTE engine & ECU

An n/a & turbo loom made or a Glanza engine & interior loom with the dash

The 4EFTE power steering pipe

A few of you to do it

Telephone numbers of people who can give advice or help

Lots of patience

To Do:

Remove oil

Remove coolant

Remove gearbox oil

Remove radiator

Remove exhaust

Remove Speedo cable

Remove accelerator cable

Remove petrol lines

Remove gearbox hydraulic line and clamp up.

Remove gearbox cables

Remove power steering pump feed

Remove battery and bracket

Remove brake vacuum pipe

Pull Amplifier power cable into car (if you have one)

Remove ECU

Pull old loom out of interior

Remove old sensor on firewall

Remove bonnet

Remove bumper

Jackup and place car on axle stands

Remove front wheels

Remove drive shafts from diff

Hook up engine lift and tighten

Unbolt engine

Lift out engine

Clean engine bay

Drop 4EFTE in

Jack up gearbox into postion

Bolt in and remove lift

Put drive shafts in

Fill gearbox with oil

Fit gearbox cables

Fit petrol lines

Fit gearbox hydraulic line and bleed it.

Fit power steering feeds to pump.

Fit brake vacuum pipe

Fit radiator

Fit FMIC or TMIC

Fit BOV or block off BOV hole

Fit radiator pipes

Fill radiator with coolant

Fit exhaust system

Fit Speedo cable

Fit accelerator cable

Fit 4EFTE ECU

Plug in Loom to interior

Fit amplifier power lead

Fit MAP sensor

Fit coil pack

Fit bumper

Fit bonnet

Fit wheels

Jack car off Stands

Remove axle stands and lower car

Fit battery

Remove the injector connectors

Turn key

Let it turn over for a few seconds

Connect injectors back up

Start engine and smile :)

Looks well that dude ! Cant wait to see the finished product.

Thanks mate, need to get my indicators sorted then brake lines going for bridgstone glow in dark braided lines..should look good at night when cars rolling.. :hi:
