Johnboy GT
Question for you fine people. I've got my 24mm front ARB fitted with 10mm plates to match the ones supplied with my anti lift kit. I have the bush mounted with the hole nearest the outside of the car. I've slid them as far over as the slots allow yet I still have the anti roll bar and the lower arm touching. Anyone got a method for rectifying this?CheersJohn
Amjad
I had this problem, some thick spacers under the ARB mounting points sorted it. You might need to trim the wishbone edge too
Johnboy GT
Yeah I made up and fitted 10mm spacers on the ARB mount. I wasn't sure if I had to notch the wishbone or not. Had the die grinder ready! I'll give it a notch then.Cheers dudeJohn
Amjad
No worries, good luck
rwdrev
i put spacers in and then cut the lip off and welded it up again. loads of clearance then.
Johnboy GT
Aye that was another option. I was at it with the die grinder tonight so I've got one side clearing but the other still needs some more taking off it. Was getting late and patience was thin with taking the ARB on and off hahaJohn
asbo-v
Don't need to cut nothing. I used a pit to do mine with it the car still on the ground.get a crow bar to adjust your under it to get the clearances don't cut or grind !!
asbo-v
Also use the correct drop links with the kit you get if not drop links get some and adjust them toHeight .
morgey
I had the same issue with the later soec wishbones without the lip. My arb also caught on some lips in the exhaust tunnel that i had to bend out the way with a bit of gentle persuasion lol
5e colin
could that not bend now under hard braking ???? thats where al the stress ends up on that end of the wishbone
Johnboy GT
I used a die grinder to buff away enough so the ARB didn't touch. Took it for a drive and there was no knocking. Spot on!John
rwdrev
had 305x 28 mm discs, colossal 4 pots, 16" wheels and 300 bhp, they were spot on. still had the lip on the other side Edited October 4, 2015 by rwdrev
