I have started the task of cleaning up the engine bay.

Here's the bay before with 28 years of grime.

I put some undiluted Tfr into a spray bottle and covered everything, giving it half an hour to soak in.

Then I wiped down everything I could get to by hand, before taking it to the jet wash.

I covered all the vitals with bags just in case.

The results are nothing short of amazing.

Going to keep going now replacing nuts and bolts and polishing various bits.

Any chance you could do me a favour and take pics of the loom for the late spec speedo guages ? Wiring a set into my own ep70 and would like a pic of the loom to compare what colour wire goes where

No problem mate, do you want a pic of them going into the clocks at the back?

Haven't made much progress over the winter, but that's the build complete on the new garage so it's all go. The 71 I'm keeping factory is still in the spray shop 🙄. So I have started tearing into the daily toy. First on the agenda was to strip the front end and remove all the air con system to free up space.

I finished rebuilding the hybrid, which is considerably larger that the ct12

I just purchased a Jam actuator .95 bar, and have a civic rad and hdi fmic en route. Sort out some fueling and she will be ready for a test run.

Been a good week and got plenty done.

I really didn't want the hdi core in front of the crash bar, as it would have meant cutting the bumper. And also would have been way more visible than I'm wanting. So I managed to squeeze it behind the crash bar. And don't get me wrong it's tight, even with a slim rad and fan. But it's in now and looking good. Piping it was an absolute nightmare. I ended up buying 180 degree bends to get it to work. There's a few bits need refined which I'm going to do today. But overall I'm happy with the way it's turned out.

Stripped the rad back off today as I wasn't happy with the fan I had used as it was a bit rough. So mounted the air con fan and made some new stainless mounts. Don't think Sacha will be worried I'll put him out business quite yet lol, but they look decent enough.
