Threw my wee 99 starlet in for its MOT with just a due tyre change and she flew through. Back brakes on the limit tho so i'll need them sorting, also guy said the drums were quite rusty, so il get that done. Had pads put on front just less than 1k ago so there grand, I'm thinking a full service while its in, theres 126k miles on it, are they know to go on with high milage? or option B is to perhaps sell it as is and I'm kinda not so keen on that option as I've kinda grew attached to my wee starlet over my 1 year ownership, never let me down once bar one time but that was my fault as i drained

Cheers for the advice guys, just bit the bullet and got him to put in a new battery, just started a new job last week and don,t want any fucking about with the battery, he tested it before he did anything and it showed up as 9.18v, 67cc (?) after 15 mins on booster and car running between idle and low revs he tested it again and it showed12.5v and 131cca, he showed me that rating is 350 so was still quite a way off, i'm not very car savvy, anyone think i made the right call or was i suckered lol??

Just remembered i'm covered with AA with my insurance, their on there way, so after they get me going will the battery be fine after an hours drive or will it prob's need replacing?? Also do you think it will start in the morning to get me to work after a good drive tonight?? i'm scared that even parking on a hill is'nt an option now lol

just double checking Colin you mean a jumpstart as in with leads? don't even have that option today as I've nobody about with leads and a car until tomorrow. Or will it push start ok, maybe that what you meant, just don't even want to try if it wont work. Cheers

Hey guys need some advice, as title said i left my inside light on on friday night when i went out to the car to look for something, now almost 48hrs later i wont even turn, only life is lights on the dash and the inside light with was still going. (now off), ive got a couple of mates coming to give me a push, will the starlet push start its just i read somewhere a guy saying starlet,s don't push start, seems like a fib but id rather check first, also will the battery bi fine if i do get it started and go for an hours drive?? mine is a 99 1.3 standard.
