front suspension shock absorber problem
hondalifestyleuk replied to hondalifestyleuk's topic in Chassis & Suspension
I've managed to get them loose by doing exactly that but used a long breaker bar, think one must have been changed at some point as drivers side was 17mm nut and passenger side is 19mm nut on top of shockers, but thanks anyway bud appreciate the help -

cheers, he did have an impact gun but sold it as it never got used lol, ill try that tomorrow but when I tried earlier it just rotates the oem spring which a pain, ill just have to make sure it doesn't damage the shaft or the seal on the shocker -
working on Sons Starlet ep91 to put Tein lowering springs on cannot undo the top nut, they normally would have an allen key hole in the top to stop the shaft spinning, but from removing the cover just looks like a hole any idea on how these stop rotating so I can change the springs without damaging the shock itself as when I'm trying to undo the nut its just rotating the oem spring

hi, just thought id say Hello, I'm Steve own a facebook group called hondalifestyleuk, joined as been working on my sons starlet for a few months now 1997 ep91 Sportif Glanza Rep he has brought some Tein lowering springs 57mm fronts 50mm rears, having trouble removing the top nut on the front suspension towers as the nut is so solid on the top of the shocker and there is no allen key hole in the top to hold while we try and undo the nut holding the whole unit together ad its not budging any ideas without damaging the shocks
