  2. Might have to go k20 route, apparently there is a drop in kit available for it now?
  3. Didn't get the bits in the end, weather was shite and flooded roads etc. Getting her MOT'd soon. Can anyone confirm if I need Glanza calipers to upgrade the front brakes? Or just the pad carriers?
  4. Earlier
  5. One that runs and drives one that doesn't my gearbox is currently in the one that runs lol. After going out on track with Dave at Japfest its time to pull my finger out and get mine back up and running. once he gives me my box back πŸ˜‚
  6. Yeah mate runs off battery pack or car battery.
  7. Sorted out the front coilovers today one was free and the other wouldn't budge for anything so out came the grinder to cut it off replaced both lower mounts and a few of the collars as they were chewed up lick of copper slip to keep them free. Slowly making my way through my list of jobs. Cheers nick.
  8. Hey dude got them from here added the pinch weld blocks aswell. CLICK ME they weren't cheap but well worth the money imo.
  9. Where you get them from dude the kwik lifts
  10. Decied it was time i got some proper lifts for the car as the jack and axel stands were doing my head in. Decided on a set of kwik lifts much safer imo. So much easier to get it up in the air now.
  11. It stopped working the next day anyone know what can be causing it to not function again? I have voltage coming to the fan switch
  12. Managed to sort it now put an older type switch in and it worked the fan is now coming on at around 92 degrees is that correct and good for a 5E running 280bhp or would it be better to invest in a low temp thermostat?
  13. Bit light on the pictures and it’s certainly been a while. Got the front bearing out of the rear diff and cleaned it up and painted it. Been doing some of the welding work but I can’t find any photos of that. Big lump of aluminium in the lathe: machined a tool to push the rings into the bores and got those file fitted and labelled up. Need to get the pistons on the rods and start building the engine and finish the welding. Car can go back together then
  14. Has the ac been removed ? If so you need to bridge one of the connectors by the battery. Will stop the fan coming on straight away.
  15. I have this same issue. On my mk3 gt turbo 1994. The fan is always on constantly. Mines is 1) stays running when disconnected and when earthed it stops. is anyone able to confirm if it means I need the old type fan switch sensor or new type by this please?
  16. Sound mate, I should be all good then. Cheers πŸ‘
  17. Screamer is fine as it will be closed for the entire mot only opens on boost 😎
  18. Thanks Nick, Yeah spoke to another lad who has done the same and his went through mot fine. Just hope my tester is okay with the screamer lol
  19. Looking good dude πŸ‘Œ I have a sports cat I can fit it needed and a pipe to take it out so its a win win. Cheers nick

  21. where did u get head light from dude ??
  22. Managed to break one of these clips that holds the archliner in while working on the car. Luckily they are still available from toyota. Actually worked out cheaper to get two of them shipped over from japan via amayama than it would have cost me for one at my local toyota dealer!! I have also purchased a 400 cell cat from tegiwa to go in the exhaust just after the sump. Going to get my exhaust fabricator to make me up a new front pipe to house it once I get the car back out. Should help me to be emmisions compliant.
  23. Next up I decided to take the plunge and ordered a new ct9 ram horn external gate manifold kit from Sacha at wicked ep racing. I had been debating it for a while after problems with boost creep on the oem ct9. I like the ct9 and wanted to get the most out of it while still on standard engine management. A couple of months later it arrived, it really is an amazing bit of kit. Got the tial 38mm MVS from Mike at tuning developments. Made a start on getting it fitted, starting with clocking the compressor housing to face down and making a new hot pipe adapter to suit. I was t
