Our import process is a joke isn't it. Well I'm finishing the custom rails next weekend so fingers crossed!

eBay- set myself a budget but really wanted it so went quite a bit above. It's nothing too special really just I'm a bit of a geek and have been after one for a long long time. I've got ones for Impreza rb320, gb270, Corolla wrc tte, celica gt4 and a few others.

Got a present in the post today, been after one for ages and probably overpaid for it but I've got a thing for sales brochures and these are rare. I'll add it to the collection!

Russ is making me a set of levin twin pots and I've got some braided lines already. Some may call it overkill but it's just future proofing and even with literally no power in my sr it'd be nice to have the confidence in the brakes!

The lights havnt grown on me and I'm selling them to my mate at work for his glanza. They'll look much nicer on that and I'm staying retro ish.

Well I'd definalty say that getting it on the road and enjoying it is in order I think you'll have bags of fun. Even though I've got no power at the moment I love driving the sr, just puts a smile on my face

Ha ha it's like any project I guess you just keep finding more things you want to do. If I had a spare 5k I think I could blow it on the car in a couple of days easily. Not surprised you lose a bit of drive now and again as it seems like you've had a few obstacles a long the way. Are you going to be the first person on here to try the longer final gear mod?

Thanks for the nice comments. I kind of like the retro look though and that's why I left the ambers on the front. I think they'd look ok if I didn't have any stickers or bump strips. I'll give them a couple more days but it would be 80 towards my brake set up lol.

Got to get the brakes on and a few more suspension tweaks then paint the front and rear bumpers and finally I'll get to the bay a bit more!

Are you getting your seat rail from JDT?

So weird I fitted my fears yesterday exactly the same, removing mine tho as I don't think they suit the sr. Good progress mate you're getting over these hurdles well

I've been looking at the car today and I just think the lights look too much for the back end. If it was a glanza it'd look good but I'm not sure it suits the car

How hard was it to fit the Corolla mani? I'm pretty compitant but just wondered if there are any 'need to knows'? Heard there's a bit of hose that isn't long enough or something. Managed to bag myself an inlet tonight on eBay.

Also, I know this sounds daft but mine felt really 'laggy' (I know that's really a term for turbos) so I had a poke around and found my throttle cable was pretty slack. After adjusting it the car felt so much more responsive it was worlds apart. Worth checking on these older cars.
