Usually this happens due to a warped/none surfaced manifold flange plate and not over tightening, make sure you have the manifold surface checked and if required skimmed as well or you could end up in the same situation after you've fixed it.

I'm after a EP91 towbar but can't find any after a Google/ebay search. I'm presuming there no longer available to buy?

I have idle issues with mine currently and trying to educate myself on what could be the issue. many things point towards a faulty icv, i have tried cleaning it out as it was coked up but still have a similar issue..

There is an idle screw under the rubber bung on the throttle body.

I made a ptfe gasket set for the manifold and an aluminium plate so it can be reversed if ever needed. 

The tank fitting have different shapes and different plugs. Round for 96-97 oval for 98-99 iirc. Could be the other way round. I'm pretty sure the actual sensor inside is the same even the paseo one should fit. 

Benefits are less load on the battery while loaded up like headlights on full, heater blower on full, rear heated screen on especially this time of the year. Getting your battery upto full charge quicker good for people that use the car for short runs or not regular.

It wouldn't over charge the battery the alternator has built in regulation and knows when its under load "supply's to demand". Pulley size is usually the same on the Same model of alternator it just has higher output (thicker winding on the stator and rotor plus bigger diodes in the rectifier)

Usually the alternator gets upgraded when you add more electrical load like a huge sound system or running an inverter in a campervan, towing a caravan with a leisure battery or fridge thats on while the caravan is being towed to destination or the likes of a vehicle that run a refrigerated unit or electric heaters. 

All SR models are 98/99 so unless toyota had to fit 96spec stuff to fit the AC or some previous owner has retro fitted it off a glanza you should have a pollen filter. 

I'm thinking more idle and deceleration the vacuum created in the manifold can be upto -1bar I've seen mine at 0.8bar that could possibly suck the valve open causing a juddering effect when decelerating as the valve opens and closes with the vacuum increasing and decreasing. Its only in theory as I've never seen it done before suppose there is only one way to find out. I hope it works. 

I know its the first time I've commented on your thread but I don't want you to go to all this effort and time/money.......Are you sure you want the wastegate that side of the throttle body? I see something going wrong there.

The auto glanza has a gearbox oil cooler built into the radiator. 

You can use paseo front carriers as well there the same as turbo ones. 

You only need to change the pad carrier and the disc everything else is the same. 

So yeah you need a 5e pump, bottom bracket and low pressure pipe from pump to bottle. 

If your going turbo you need to rotate the oil filter relocation down. To do this you need to modify the block where the AC pump bolts to and the bottom bolt screws on the bottom PS bracket is. 

The 5e has approx 10mm more stoke making the block around 10mm higher.  I've just hit the same problem I'll let you know what I find as I've still got the car my 5e came out of. I've also noticed the engine to cat/decat brace doesn't line up. There is no alternative for that so I might end up re drilling the bracket. 

It's the same an aftermarket LSD that drops in a Glanza/Gt box with 8 bolt crown wheel. The 5speed Starlet/paseo NA box has 6bolt crown wheel and doesn't fit. 

I've not used the 3 bolts for 5years and it's never leaked. It's a 5e so unless I drill and tap the block they don't have the 3 bolt holes anyway

Wepr it's a power up kit I think. Its TF035 the port is still in the same area. It's only moved by 30-35°
