westie
Quick question: do I need any kind of sealant in addition to a genuine Toyota gasket or just fit it dry?Cheers.
Fozzie
I just fitted mine dry, but some people recommend putting a small blob of sealant on all the corners and around where the cams and dizzy go.
davehart
No real need for any sealant. You might use a tiny drop just so the gasket stays in place when you turn it over to put it on. I used none on mine, just pushed it into place firmley. Edited April 20, 2017 by davehart

Fozzie
I forgot to mention, make sure that the top of the head is completely clean where the gasket will contact it and also put a good bead of clean oil around the gasket before you pop the rocker cover back on
westie
Did it this afternoon, seemed to go alright. Hopefully it'll not piss oil all over the place now.
Starlet__SR
I always use silicon grease when fitting new seals.
