Rear caliper rebuild help

Recommended Posts

That circlip is a right bitch to get off and on because off the spring in the 47730c keeps poping out.hard to explain really but have a long nose circlip pliers and a flat screwdriver to help you guide down the circlip in place and a good led light to see things.

Yes very!😂 i found with one set that the cage with the spring arrangement was actually damaged and simply wouldnt hold in! Ended up using one from another caliper and the circlip when straight in afterwards lol.

as for the above im not sure why it wouldn't come out as theirs nothing keeping it in.

Thanks for the help and information anyway.  Read that the part is hold in with the rubber around it to a certain extend. Tried to de solve some of the rubber with acetone but didn't seem to make a difference yet.

Is it possible to remove the handbrake pin(47621A) without removing part  47406 first?

You could, but it depends how 47613B is sat inside of 47621A as it has a recess where the pin sits in. As the mechanism rotates that is what operates the handbrake, ill try get some photos on monday when im back at work👍🏻
